This Nitrous-Sniffing Truck Returns to Sick Summer to Defend Its 2023 Title, with a New Build in the Works to Join It
After debuting the 1984 Chevrolet C-10 pick-up truck known as ‘Bad Bad Leroy Brown’ on the first Sick Summer Presented by TBM Brakes last year, Randy Fuller was rewarded with a class win in the Pro Dial-Your-Own (DYO) class.
The pick-up varied just 0.021 of-a-second among the four time slips turned in, earning Randy a coveted Sick the Mag orange helmet on his first drag-and-drive event.

Fast forward just over seven months, and Randy made the trip south to participate on the 2024 Sick Week Presented by Gear Vendors Overdrive.
With the 632 cubic inch big block under the brown hood now sporting a Nitrous Outlet Hornet 2 stage nitrous kit, the truck finished third in the new Heavy Metal class with a 9.00 average, laying down a best of 8.51 at 155 mph on day three.
So, with Sick Summer Presented by Motion Raceworks about a month away, what is Randy doing for his third drag-and-drive event in a year’s time?
“Well, the boys and I did another crazy thing,” said Randy. “We are finishing up a Mustang that I built around 2009, then sold and went to Australia. I bought it back and will be looking to run with the big boys.”
His twin boys, Jarrett and Ty, will be tasked with wheeling the Chevy Truck, while Randy will jump behind the wheel of the Mustang.
“Hoping to set some drag-and-drive records, and play in the small tire radial world locally,” Randy said of his goals for the Mustang.
