From Death Valley, to the City of Jackpots, and the Rebirth of Tom Bailey’s Durango, Death Week Rolls into Las Vegas on Day Six
Famoso Drag Strip provide the ‘hook and book’ with cool air and lots of wheelstands Wednesday night. But we need to get back to Nevada, so Death Week got back on the road for a full drive day on Thursday.
Back on Track – Day Five Combines Mountains and Massive Trees, Curves and Wheelies as Death Week Hits our Third Track: Famoso Drag Strip
Day five of Death Week would start with a choice: visit the Sequoia National Forest, just peek into the surrounding park area, or head straight to Famoso Drag Strip?

Death Week Enjoys Some California Sea and Sun, As the Tour Gets Closer to a Third Track Visit
The second dedicated drive day for Death Week brought the tour close to shoreline once again, then through some narrow and twisting roads, and finally wide-open landscapes as day four was moved to the ‘completed’ side of the ledger.

Another drive day saw the teams of Death Week move north. While we have plenty of images from the ones we saw on the road, we know for a fact that dozens of racers are racking up additional miles playing tourists everywhere from Mooneyes to Disney. With visits today to Morro Rock and the James Dean Memorial, racers are now situated for a run through the Sequoia National Park before racing at Famoso Drag Strip from 5pm to 9pm.
Not a Case of the Mondays – Day Three of Death Week Puts Participants on a Cruise Along the California Coastline
With two days of driving and racing were in the books, Death Week rolled into Monday with the first of two dedicated drive days on the docket.
